I tried to log on at around 6:05 PM PST only to get a message saying I was banned for 7 days (attachment). I logged on earlier today to play a round of mw and left to do other things, but when I try to join back, I get this screen.

this is the second time something like this has happened (the first time was over the summer, I don't remember when exactly) and it was because another player under the same network was using a mod on a separate device.

If I can get an explanation as to why I've been banned, I'd greatly appreciate it. I believe I've done nothing wrong in terms of the ban duration (i.e. glitch exploiting) because I only logged on to say hi to a few friends and play one mw game. Thanks!

May I ask which map it was that I got reported on? I don't recall breaking any maps in mw since I first started playing it.

The only map I played on today was D-Day, but there's no point in glitch exploiting in that map since it's an open map/area and the mob is fairly accessible.

I understand that they want to remain anonymous and I respect that, but I don't keep track of who plays on what map. I just play the game.

The reason why I'm asking for the map is because I find it a bit odd that me and my friend vDxzy got banned at the same time and for the same reason, but we haven't played together in like 2-3 days. I saw her earlier today, and she came to spectate my match in D-Day, but we didn't join a game together.

If they're separate private reports then I understand, but it's a little too coincidental that we got banned at the same time when we both know we haven't glitch exploited for the sake of winning a game. I'd like to ask once again for the map, but if the reporter refuses to release that information then that's fine, I'll wait my time out, but I still firmly believe that vDxzy and I got banned for something we didn't do.

I'd also like to make a ban appeal for someone else but in a private conversation, for the person who the ban appeal is for doesn't own a forums account. Thanks.

They’d still like it private as they feel it’s a bit too obvious
You were both in the same match and same report so that’s why the times are pretty much together and it was a couple days ago when I was rather inactive. I understand thinking it was something you didn’t do but it really was.
