it still shatters my heart into tiny little pieces, because gosh, i would have given anything to meet you. i still would, except i truly have no chance now.

it destroys my faith and hope that there is still love and goodness in the world. it wrecks my thoughts that there is still hope for humanity.

i watch old videos of linkin park, and i see you, and i just break down. it's just not fair. it's so hard when i realise that you're no longer here.

and even though you're gone, you still bring me so much happiness and comfort every single day. through old interviews, songs, new songs.

i cannot wait for the new grey daze album! i just wish that you could have been there to release it too.

i'll never get the chance to thank you for the things you've gotten me through. i'll never fully move on. i'll never get closure.

i'm so sorry, chaz. you deserved so much better than what the world gave to you. but what you left behind is so much more.

i truly miss you so much. i miss the way you never failed to make me feel like i had somebody who cared for me.

i miss the way i could feel your ebullient, unforgettable aura through a screen.

i miss the way you cared so dearly about your fans. i have never felt so loved and appreciated in a single fandom before.

i miss when there was new content. i miss when you and the guys (it was mainly mike who did it all though xD) would do these dumb as hell livestreams, and you could barely even figure out how it all worked. boomers xD :')

your songs have been the soundtrack to my life, they've guided me through so much and they've just been there for me.

i don't even know how to explain it. no words i string together will ever amount to the gratidute i have for you.

i just completely fell in love with your music. i fell in love with the way it kept me breathing and gave me a reason to live.

i still have to remember that today isn't about being sad. today is your birthday, it's a day to remember your existence and everything that you did for us.

today is also international day of happiness, and i know that that's not just a coincidence.

so today, and everyday, we will celebrate all that you gave us, all that you showed us, and all that you were - in your short time here.

i'm still so sorry though. i'm so sorry it had to be this way, but i'm so grateful i ever got the chance to know you.
