Mist dawned upon the small town. The sun never shown here, and it seemed like it was always night. The brick buildings were old, and a third of the streetlights flickered. No one spoke with each other. No good happened, but no bad either. Everything was depressing and gloomy.
The trees that were meant decorated the sidewalk only stood there to exist, not to decorate. Cars were broken down and/or smashed.
Barely anyone lived here. There were no police, but everyone felt as if a great force watched upon them.
A person walks into the middle of the road. They walk over the small but damp leaves. Their sight is blocked by the mist, so they can’t see far. They pull out a doll and look at it. For a while, they just stand there. They set it on the ground, tie a piece of magnesium to it, and light it on fire. The magnesium intensifies the fire, and the mist helps it burn. The person walks away, abandoning the doll. A scream is heard, and smoke helps the mist to block the view of anyone.
