I had so much food before along with the rod but I’ll still use the rod kit bc it makes it easy to 1v2 or even 1v3 if u use it right( just fish whoever u can and then pearl for a new situation)
PE is just as powerful with it. I played the kit before the farmer nerf and for a lot of experience using it (AKA I was better at it than a lot of users). I knew before farmer nerf many PE used farmer and some PC used fisherman. I think It's just been that some PC players had more experience w it.

The pe players that used fisherman just got it for mostly the food, pe players aren't that skilled at using the rod than pc players. PC players that used fisherman are more hard and tanky to deal with because most of the time they always rush mid to get more food and better gear, and it's more easy to pvp most pe players because were not that good at strafing and comboing unlike the pc players.
