so i’ve been on brlns for about 8 months now, and i’ve played splt plenty of times. i’ve always wondered though, when the game starts why does it instantly go to like 72-28 or something like that sometimes. shouldnt it go to like 52-48 or something along those lines? it’s kinda hard to win when you start as the 28% because it seems like no matter how much color you have you cant get on top

you can tell both of these just started by the clock on the side

idk maybe i’m just really dumb but someone please explain

I'm really dumb but maybe its bc of the ratio, bc u just started? like if it was 2v4 orange and magenta for example and orange put down one shovel egg thing and magenta put down 3, the ratio would be 25:75
reminder: I'm not the smartest so pls dont come at me

To hopefully clarify, at the beginning the percentages change a lot bc there aren’t much blocks that have been coloured yet, so at the beginning, 1 throw with the shovel can change the percentages easily.

So, if red has coloured 5 blocks and 20 for orange at the first second (difference of 15), then orange would have 80%, red would have 20%.

If Red team has coloured 45 blocks with orange at 60 (again a difference of 15),then orange would only have about 57%, red having about 43%

This stuff happens very quickly, so the scores change quickly at the beginning.

Oh that happens to me sometimes too! I think it’s because some maps have colored wool that you can pick (like cyan yellow etc.) Because of that it’s adds to the teams scores making it really unfair.
Oh yeah it's because of that. Let's take a map and some colors for example: Flounder Heights, Yellow vs. Magenta. Some parts in the map have yellow wool lines dividing the roads (I think lmao) so I guess when the game starts it counts it as if the yellow team painted it.

I don't think I make sense lmao.

Yup! And another example is Map I Hammerhead Bridge. The flags at spawn are cyan. And if your cyan team you have a great advantage!
