The title says it all!

Some that i can think of that are rules in my school are:

No hats (what???? One time my friend was wearing a hat and a teacher snatched it off her head and screamed at her for wearing a hat. A HAT.)

no gum (i kinda get this but is it really necessary?)

No ripped jeans (What, is this distracting your peers?)

No spaghetti straps

Uh one rule our school is that we are not allowed to throw trash around us lmao.
Like there are many ”maids” at our school that keep finding cigarettes and other sh*t like that.
They got really mad and they made the students clean the school one day ahhsdhjs

my school has a formal and sports uniform

students are expected to arrive and depart from school in their formal uniform, even if they had hpe for the last period or hpe for the first period. If you have hpe in the first period, ur expected to arrive and get changed at school, which is dumb because people like me run late a lot. You're also expected to change into formal uniform if u had hpe last, which is also stupid because people have appointments or need to catch the bus or train. AND after every hpe lesson, you're supposed to get changed, if you're not in proper uniform u get detentions.

it's stupid, the hpe uniform's also part of the school uniform, so why can't people arrive in them???
i break those rules anyway lmao

Reminds me of reddit, I actually think asking questions in off topic like this is good bc it gets people talking-

Hmm, well. In my old school we had a rule that anybody involved in fights would get detention. It doesn’t sound bad but they gave the victims detention. That means if you got punched and you defended yourself you would be put in detention as well. They expected you to take it and after they where done you tell a teacher. Even if you told a teacher they wouldn’t do anything without evidence which is bs.

We are allowed phones-
I’m allowed gum because if I get anxious in class I bite my nails it can really hurt

the “dress code” that they never enforced on the girls who actually broke it

if we were loud in lunch we’d have to sit in our homeroom groups (which i hated mine so that didn’t go well)

you have to have a lock on your locker, which i always just didn’t and took the consequences bc my lock always would get jammed bc it was trash

no running when changing classes outside (which is stupid bc what if we’re late-?? i know for the 6th graders they have to go down 3 flights of stairs, sometimes down a hallway and out the building in 2 min)

no earbuds, headphones, airpods unless it's school related. i didn't even TRY to hide mine

once i was wearing my earbuds in the hallway and a teacher apparently was trying to tell me something but i didn't hear them. than they proceeded to call me out to the entire class the next hour and talk about how rude i was being
