Part 1-
(Oh also yes I added myself cus idk lol. Everyone is mentioned atleast once in Part 1)
"Hey summer, c'mon! Hurry up, we actually wanna get there tonight, don't we?" Griz teased Summer.
"I'm coming!" Summer caught up to Griz.
"Finally, gosh. You're slower than Addy!"
"I heard that!" Addy's voice was heard from behind them.
"Whoops," griz grinned, "she sounds angry."
Summer rolled his eyes, and put his hands in his pockets.
"Hey guys, it's just up ahead!" Cookie shouted.
A huge mansion was beginning to come into view. Vines hung down from the widows and roof, and pillars spiraled down. The dark wood looked as if it was about to rot, or maybe fall apart. Everyone wondered how this thing was still being held together.
Windows were broken, the stairs were cracked, you could even see parts of the roof that had caved in.
"Ugh, this place is disgusting," recoloured remarked.
"Kinda looks like a tornado hit it." Ben commented.
"While this place is all so 'great,' why are we here again?" Capitaine asked.
"Because exploring the woods is fun, or are you too afraid?" Sphynx narrowed his eyes and Capitaine.
Capitaine glared at Sphynx.
"Geez man, I was just kidding," Sphynx mumbled, then ran ahead to catch up with cookie.
Addy and Venus were lagging behind, but once they noticed the enormous mansion ahead of them, they gained interest and began to catch up with the rest of the group.
"Woah…" Addy and Venus became speechless.
"You guys just saw this now?" Gracious questioned. She crossed her arms.
"Sorry, we weren't focusing on what was ahead." Venus apologized.
"It's fine," Gracious sighed.
As the group got closer to the mansion, they became silent. Their breaths were only heard in the crisp autumn air. But, they could also hear Ben loudly texting on his phone.
"Seriously, Ben? We found an abandoned mansion and all you can think to do is text?" Rose put her hands on her hips.
"Sorry, gotta post this. It's pretty freaking awesome! My Instagram followers will wanna see this!" Ben replied, and snapped a photo of the large building.
Several people smacked their faces.
"He is right, this place is awesome," cookie said. She whipped out her phone and took a picture, but she wasn't planning on posting it. Who knows who would find that photo?
There was silence for a while, then Rose piped up.
"So um, who's going in first?"
Everybody stepped back except for Ben, who was busy playing on his phone. He looked up, just now realizing what was happening.
"Wait, me? Why me?"
"You're the closest to the thing," Griz smirked.
You could hear a large sigh from Ben.
"Fine. I'll go first, but tell my story if a zombie or something snatches me and eats my brains." Ben replied, and began to walk up the broken, concrete steps. He avoided every large crack, afraid that something bad would happen if he stepped on it.
What am I talking about? Ben laughed at himself.
It's just stairs, nothing bad will happen if I step on the broken parts. He reassured himself.
He relaxed himself, then began to walk up normally. He stepped on a large broken stair, and nothing happened.
See? You dummy, nothing happ-
Suddenly, some of the side of the mansion began to collapse.
"Why did I jinx myself?" Ben grumbled, then quickly ran into the mansion to avoid getting hit. He heard loud crashing sounds, and several people began to cough. He couldn't see a thing, everything was dark.
"Hey, is everyone okay?" Ben called from the darkness. He turned on his phone's flashlight.
Everybody outside was recovering from shock. There was a lot of dust and debrief in the air from part of the wall that collapsed. Everybody had inhaled lots of dust, which then led them to cough and sneeze like crazy, and their eyes were filled with water from irritation.
"Yeah, we're good, I think." Sphynx replied.
"Ow," somebody groaned. Gracious then came into view. Her leg was stuck under some sort of pipe, and she was trying to yank it out.
"Gracious!" Everyone rushed over to her side, whispering and panicking.
"Everybody calm down," Rose said, "we need at least two people to try and yank her out. Then we need people to lift up the pipe. Capitaine, Griz, and Addy, could you lift the pipe? And Venus and Summer can try and pull her out."
Venus grabbed Gracious's left arm and Summer grabbed her right.
"On three, you guys lift up the pipe and Venus and summer will yank her out. Ready? One, two, three!" Rose instructed, and everyone immediately did their job. As soon as the pipe was lifted, Gracious was yanked out. She yelped in pain.
"Ow, ow, owww!" Gracious bit her lip. Her leg was stiff, and it was beginning to bruise up.
"That looks bad," Summer commented, "what should we do?"
"I'll be fine," Gracious grunted, and tried to stand up. Sharp, shooting pain ripped through her leg, and she screamed and shot back down to the ground.
"You can't walk, that's decided. But maybe you can just not use that leg, and somebody can help you walk." Cookie pondered.
"I can help her!" Venus offered.
"Me too," recoloured said.
They each grabbed one side of Gracious, and started to walk slowly with Gracious. Step by step, each one of them got used to it. Gracious began to look less worried.
"Hey guys! I'm still in here!" Ben shouted. He stumbled out from the darkness. He spotted Gracious and ran towards her.
"Hey, what happened?" He asked in a concerned tone.
"A pipe fell on her leg. But I think she'll be okay." Addy responded.
"Yes, I'm gonna be fine," Gracious told him, "and even though I'm injured, I'd still like to check out the huge mansion in front of us." She smiled.
Everyone thought for a moment.
"Yeah, I think we should still explore it," Summer said.
"Sounds good to me," Capitaine replied. He ran ahead of the group, and motioned for everyone to join him.
Capitaine began to ascend up the stairs, practically leaping to each one. He was in awe as he got a better view of the gorgeous, almost ancient building. The walls were carved with beautiful patterns, and stone lined the bottom of the floor. The door was absolutely enormous, it looked 10 feet tall. The doorknob of the mansion was coated in gold, and had the carving of a lion on it.
"Strange," Capitaine mumbled.
The rest of the group finally caught up with him, and joined him at the top of the stairs. They were also in awe of the beautiful mansion.
"Well who wants to open it?" Ben asked.
"We can all open it." Cookie said.
"Sounds fair," Summer replied.
Cookie opened the door a little bit, then the rest of the group pushed open the heavy doors. The doors were much heavier than everyone expected, probably because the doors were 10 feet tall.
Light flowed through the abandoned structure, and the group began to get a glimpse of what was inside. They couldn't see much, as it was so dark. Several people turned on the flashlight on their phone. They began to step inside the mansion, and look at what was inside the historic building.
Unbeknownst to them, something was looking right back at them.
