She already told him ti stop, several times. By continuing to do what he's doing, he's making her less likely to forgive him. He's probably being pushy and annoying to her.He wants her to forgive him, what's wrong in that?
It is mal's choice if she wants to forgive him or be friends with him, not his. Mal doesn't have to be friends with everybody.

Let me give you some advice. If you really want Mal to like you and be friends with you, back off. Just leave her alone for a while. Then, gradually, try to become friends with her. If she still refuses, I'm sorry, but her answer is no. If her answer is no, stop bugging her. Try to befriend someone else. Not everyone needs to be your friend.
