Hi I’m back with a short story.

It was a casual Saturday afternoon, and a mixture of laughter and shouting was coming from a bedroom with its door ajar. Inside this room were two great friends playing Mario Kart. These friends are Venus and Aiden. These two have basically grown up together, with their families being great friends too. They were both currently in their last year of high school, procrastinating on any homework with some very competitive Mario Kart.
Venus had just beaten Aiden for the third time in a row, and he was becoming increasingly more competitive. “One more time Venus! I’ll show you I can beat you!” he would shout. Venus would just agree, and proceed to destroy him in the game. After a few more games, Aiden set his controller down and sighed. He just couldn’t beat Venus, and she felt a bit bad since he was trying so hard to win.
As Venus powered off the game, Aiden went to get some snacks from the kitchen. She was sitting on the floor on her phone when he finally came back with the food. The pair quietly ate the food and before long they had eaten it all. Venus flopped back with her hands on her stomach and her eyes shut. “Ahh I’m so full, thanks for the snacks” she said to Aiden. He hummed out a response and looked over to her. Since she wasn’t looking, he took in all of her beautiful features.
Aiden had fallen for Venus a few years ago, but was always afraid of saying anything with the risk of ruining their friendship. As more time passed, the more he started to fall for her. He was getting more and more worried some other guy would come along, so he was trying to work up his confidence to ask her out. He couldn’t help but imagine all the couple things the two could possibly do. She was just perfectly beautiful to him.
While Aiden was lost in his thoughts, Venus suddenly opened her eyes and stared back at Aiden. She cleared her throat, bringing Aiden back to reality. He quickly looked away, trying to hide his flushed cheeks. When Venus asked “What were you looking at” his cheeks turned even more red. She sat up, about to drop the situation since she could tell he wasn’t about to answer her when Aiden spoke up.
“Venus?” Aiden said quietly. She looked over at him. “Will you be my girlfriend?”
