Chapter 7- A Icy Chill
December 6, 2018
The wind blows beyond my eyes while noticing on my calendar that it was already Friday. The week goes by so fast that I don’t even know what day it is until my mind realizes that it’s already Friday morning.
I was still on vacation which I was glad about since I wasn’t looking forward to going to school today. I looked outside in hopes of snow starting to fall. Nothing. I always thought that it was going to snow before Christmas but I guess I was wrong.
Maybe I just have to give it a few more days as my parents said to me when I was little. Besides, it’s only the 7th; so we still have a lot of days left before Christmas comes around.
I got up from my bed, went into the kitchen, grabbed myself a loaf of bread, speed it with peanut butter and eat it alone in the dinner table. To be honest with you, I liked it when nobody was around to bother me since I never liked talking to people while I ate but sometimes, it was also good for me somehow.
I took a quick glance at the clock that was faced towards me on top of the oven timer. It was currently 6 in the morning; so 1 hour before my parents wake up from their dreams and command me to do work around the house like every single day.
I decided to take yet another walk around the neighborhood and see if anyone downtown needed a helping hand even though it's only 6 in the morning. I don't expect to see a lot of people outside and doing garden stuff on a Friday morning.
Plus, I bet everyone just wants to take a few more seconds to sleep before they head off to work. Anyway, I grabbed the dirty jacket I had hanging from the kitchen so I don't have to head upstairs once again and possibly get caught doing so.
I thought I was going to die at this point when my brother jumped towards me out of nowhere with a knife on his hands. "CAP!" I tried shouting to him in the lowest voice possible. It was really hard not to yell at him with the knife he had in his hands.
"What in the world were you thinking?" I reminded him once again. "I'm sorry sister." He said in the calmest voice. "I was just trying to protect this house from any sneaky person dressed as Santa and I thought you were it." I rolled my eyes at him while snapping the knife out of his hands. "I'll be taking this thank you very much."
I guess he didn't like the fact that I was taking my mom knife from him cause I heard a slightly bad word coming from his breath. I didn't bother to fight with him since I knew it wouldn't solve anything. So I gave him the "warning look" and headed off to start my morning walk.
[Limber paid me 500 V-bucks to put his part into the story. jkjk ;c ]
As I was heading for the village around me, I noticed a strange kid I have never seen before in my entire life. He was short, having a Fortnite short with the word Fortnight colored in gold in a black sweater. I decided,
"Hey, why don't go up there and let me introduce myself to him." I slowly approached him like I was going to ask someone out for prom. Unfortunately for me, he spotted me trying to sneak behind him even before I reached one year from him. "Um, hello?" His face seemed like I was going to kidnap him. "hello!" I said in a sweet voice like an anime girl.
"Are you new around here?" I continued to ask questions. "No. I have been here for about a year now. But I have never seen you before in the village. Are you new?" I felt a shook inside myself like I was being introduced to a neighborhood that I have been living for the past year's. "Um no. I have been here for quite a while.
The name's Kiwi." "Limber. Lim for short." We both shook hands as he bit into his pepperoni pizza. "Woah, where did you get that pizza from?" Now, I knew it's weird asking a kid where he got the pepperoni pizza from when I clearly knew where the pizza store was.
"Santa gave it to me!" He smiled. Woah. I guess this kid still believed in Santa afterward. "How old are you if I don't mind asking." "13. Why?" 13? Wozza, I never knew a kid that's 13 would still believe in Santa. "Nothing. Well, I gotta go! Nice to meet you by the way. I hope we can hang out one day!" before I even let him talk, I left in a snap.
I took another glance at my watch to find out that it was already 8 in the morning. Wow, 2 hours already wasted right there and I haven't done anything yet in those 2 hours that have past expect meeting a new friend down by the woods.
I was losing my guts into exploring this place some more. I thought I had enough of this and decided that it would be a great idea to call it a day and head home to sleep again. But then again, what was I thinking? There was a Santa Claus killer out there and I was doing completely nothing about it.
Then again, NOBODY was doing anything 'about it so why should I care that there's a serial killer Santa out there besides the fact that it could kill me at any second? All this thinking about a Santa Claus was really getting into my veins and that wasn't a good thing if anyone of you were thinking.
The walk back to my house felt like I was talking to another state since I walked for 2 hours from my house to here without me realizing it. The wind started to blow stronger which didn't exactly help my case in walking back home in a calmer way.
As I passed through some of the houses I have never seen before, I gotta say, they were probably 10 times better than the houses I was living in right now. They looked so tall and beautiful that it looked like you were living in a machine from it.
Each one of them had at least 3 floors in total and if even, only 2 but none of them had 1 floor, unlike the village we live in. We would have to get lucky to even find a home that had 2 floors at cost. But then again, I remembered what the prices would cost if my family would be able to purchase that kind of luxury.
I started to do the math inside my head and it looked like the total estimate would be around $200,000 to $800,000 thousands of dollars. So, to keep in touch with Y'all, I rather have a simple house with 3 rooms and only one floor which would probably cost around $30,000 dollars but it's worth it. I noticed that I was spending to much time in looking at the fancy houses that were in front of me instead of heading home before anything else bad happens.
* * * * *
I was almost near my house when I spotted someone moving in next door to me. I had never met someone that moved right next to me so I thought of this as an opportunity for me to find out if they had a daughter or at least a son.
Lucky for me, they had a daughter after all. She had blond hair with the scent of cherry blossoms which killed me wish sweetness. She was pale which wasn't a surprise for me. Her beautiful eyes made me want to faint once I saw them shimmer in the light.
They were light blue but in my eyes, I saw them as the color cyan. I knew that this was the best plan I could do right now. Go in there an introduce me to them. But I was missing one thing about all this. Guts.
I felt like that was the only thing I was missing which doesn't really surprise me one bit. I decided to leave all that aside and try to act the best of me before something else goes wrong. The door was opened when I got there but I still gave a little knock just to make sure I wasn't a stranger going in and stealing their stuff.
"Who are you?" The men voice comes floating to me. "Um hello! I'm Kiwi. Your neighbor that lives across from you. I thought it would be a great idea for me to introduce myself." The mom and dad suddenly stopped grabbing their stuff from their packages and walk towards me.
"Aww, aren't you the cutest girl I have seen?" She started rubbed my warm checks like they were sponges. "Aww, don't be that kind." I blushed at her words that came directly to me. "Hmm, you seem like a nice kiddo'. Why don't we introduce you our daughter? TIMELESS!"
They yelled at her from upstairs. "Don't worry. She sometimes takes some time to come downstairs. It was about 2 minutes that past until she came downstairs barefoot. "Oh, who's she?" She question.
"She's our neighbor Kiwi!" Her mother turns to me and says, "Kiwi this is Timeless. Timeless, this is Kiwi." She didn't bother to come towards me and shake heads but instead, she just waved at me and got back to the mystery book she was holding in her left hand.
"Well, now that you're here, you guys should talk for a while as I get supper ready." I could see that she didn't like that idea cause she started to give me dirty looks after her mom left the dining room.
Her dad, however, said out of nowhere, "Well, have you heard? Rav got murdered yesterday during her singing concert." I Immediately froze in place. "WHAT?" Timeless looked like I knew more about this then she did.
"Her singing career ended in a very sad way. Some say she got knifed to death by someone dressed as Santa Claus and then afterward, leaving a note on her dead body"
Wait, Rev? What? NO! She was my singer dream!

Btw do you know how hard it is for me to not use the word, “Blood,” in the story? I can’t use it cause it would probably get taken down and giving me a warning point afterward.
