"So you're saying," Ally said, staring at Zoey. "That there's another murderer on the loose?"
"Yes!" Zoey said. "Don't you think it's odd that Kitty vanished so suddenly?"
Ally's eyebrows narrowed as she stared at her.
"Well," she said, fiddling with a pen. "Kitty could be lost in the forest or drowning in the lake,"
"How did you know the lake isn't frozen?" Zoey's eyebrows narrowed too.
"Because I saw the ice crumble!" Ally snapped, annoyed.
"But you were still talking with the others about Icy's arrest!" Zoey said.
Ally turned red and dropped her pen.
"Anyways," Zoey continued, not noticing Ally's sudden change in behaviour. "The murderer's identity is also linked with this,"
Zoey fished out the yellow flower and gave it to Ally. Ally picked it up and examined it.
"She's given too much information," Ally whispered under her breath.
"What was that?" Zoey asked, growing suspicious.
Ally stood up and grabbed a heavy book from the nearby bookshelf.
"You know too much," she said before slamming the book onto Zoey's head.
There was a loud crash as Zoey fell off her chair and onto the floor. Ally crouched over her.
"I'm sorry," she smiled slightly. "But the murderer's identity must stay hidden."
She stood up again and walked out of the room.
Emoty was chilling on her sofa drinking a cup of hot chocolate when she saw them. Two figures running into the woods. Curious, Emoty placed her cup down and ran out of her cabin. She followed the people's footprints that they left in the snow, which led her all the way into the heart of the woods. At the sound of voices, Emoty ceased her loud breathing and spied on them behind a thick oak tree.
"So," a feminine voice said. "You killed Zoey?"
"No," another voice replied. "I knocked her out."
There was a sigh.
"Well, at least she won't be any trouble to us later when we set this place on fire."
"Speaking about the plan, have you got the gasoline and matches?"
"Yep, they're in our cabin,"
"Good, let's go get them,"
Emoty, wanting a better look of the people, crept around the tree. Unfortunately, she had made too much noise. The people turned and faced her. Before Emoty could react, there was a silver flash and a knife pinned her coat to the tree. One of them approached her.
"Any last words?" Ally asked, smiling malevolently.
"Yep," Emoty replied. "Let me help you,"
"No!" Ally replied. "You'll just snitch on us and --"
"Ally," the other person interrupted her. "With Icy gone, we needed another person to help us,"
"I'll help," Emoty smiled. "If you free me."
Ally looked at the murderer. She nodded at her, and Ally released Emoty from the tree. Before any of them could do anything, there was a rustle nearby. They grew tense. Ally chucked Emoty a knife, who caught it, and the three of them held their knives out. Someone emerged from the shadows with two other people. It was Zoey, Lucas, and Amanda.
"Think you can stop me?" Zoey said. "We all trusted you Ally,"
Ally shrugged.
"I don't want to die anytime soon," Ally replied. "Which is why I decided to team with Summer."
"And," Summer butted in. "I'm afraid that you three will die now,"
The murderer and traitors lunged at the others, but Zoey had a plan. Zoey grabbed an axe from nearby and blocked Summer's knife. The others, each armed with axes, copied her as the traitors tried to attack them.
"Zoey," Summer said. "You'll lose in the end, so give up now,"
"Actually," Zoey replied, smiling. "You're wrong,"
Zoey hit Summer on the head with the handle of her axe, and Summer slumped to the ground. She looked at the others, who have already defeated the traitors. Without another word, they each grabbed a body and hauled them back to the campsite.
"Well done Zoey," the manager said as the police arrived at the campsite. "You've saved all of us innocent people and the campsite from being closed down."
Zoey smiled.
"It was nothing," she said as she watched Summer, Ally, and Emoty being loaded into the police cars. "I'm just glad the murderer is gone,"
The police cars drove away.
"Although," Zoey continued. "This doesn't change the fact that my friends are dead,"
Before the manager could reply, Zoey had vanished.
"Well," the manager said to himself. "At least no one will ever know that I ordered them to kill the tourists."
Without another word, the manager walked back to his cabin, leaving the campsite quiet as a mouse.
