On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me,
A partridge in a pear tree.

I suddenly felt a breeze going through my skin. The sun no longer gave me the warm scent of it as the cold kept taking over my warm, pale skin. My friend forced me to get out of the cold, even shoving me into the door and giving all she got just to get me into the house.
Of course, there's me. I hesitated so much that eventually, she gave up on trying to pull me inside the door and shut the door heard enough behind me; telling me that she wasn't in any mood to talk to me which was fine by me.
All I wanted to do right now is enjoy the last breezy night of November before I wake up the next day to a new month which will be filled with surprises. But before I do, I'm giving November the last chance before I have to say goodbye to it and see it next year.
The night started to grow more and so was the wind. I finally decided to head inside and say my last goodbyes to November and say hello to my new friend for 31 days, December. But little did she know, a wild killer escaped from jail, took some Santa clothes and was going to dress as Santa Claus to lure kids into coming towards him when really, they're heading towards death.
Chapter 1- Our Christmas
December 1, 2018
I woke up to my brother playing the drums around 6 in the morning. I threw a pillow at him but nothing seemed to get his attention while playing the drums. I didn't want to get out of my warm bed cause the minute my toes touch the wooden floor, my whole body will shiver in an instant. I tried yelling at him, no use.
Now, if you were in my shoes right now, this s a hard discussion you'll have to make on a Saturday morning. Would you rather lay there, still keeping your body warm but your annoying brother still playing the drums or two, get up and let your body feel the coldness going up like a wildfire and yell at your brothers' ears?
Cause if you were asking me, I rather stay in my bed and let mom bust into my room; me pretending that I'm still asleep while my mom gave her a piece of her mind towards my brother. I mean let's be real here, who likes to wake up on a Saturday morning so early apart from my brother? Nobody.
I decided to hear Cap banging the drums so hard that I thought for a second that my drum ears were going to fall out at any second from now. I prayed to god that my mom will sooner or later bust into the room, pulling my brother from the ears and drag him into the kitchen to wash the dishes as a punishment of waking up mom too early.
I'm guessing that god got my message faster than an Instagram text causes the minute I was done praying to mom, she came bursting into my mom, almost getting the feeling that she was going to knock the door straight of where it was. "WHAT IN THE WORLD DO YOU THINK YOU"RE DOING!"
The tone of her voiced sound so harsh that if she was going to text the exact same thing she just said to someone, it would legit be all in bolded letters cause that's what she sounded right now. "You better have a great excuse on why you're up at 6 in the morning Mr." I was getting the vibe that she wasn't going to let him off that easily today.
I wasn't really surprised though to be fair. He was always playing the drums every single Saturday at 6 mornings. Not on Sundays. Not on Mondays. Nor any day we had school. Only on Saturdays. Don't ask why he has that habit. He just does. He stood there in silence, not daring to say any words towards mom answer.
"Well, in that case." She pulled Cap from the ears and dragged him not into the kitchen by the garden we had in the backyard. I tiptoed slowly behind mom; trying my best not to get caught sneaking behind her.
Eventually, she stopped pulling Cap's ears, leaving the reddest spot Cap could have ever gotten on his ears. Mom commended Cap to pick out all the weeds in her garden until there was no weed left in sight. Cap had no choice but to follow mom instructions.
In the sight of the scene, I almost got caught when mom turned her back to get back into the house, Fortunately for me, I made a quick move and hide behind the couch, hoping that she wouldn't make a left turn cause if she does, the only thing she'll be seeing is a girl in her pajamas, hiding behind a living room couch.
Luckily for me, she turned to the left which was my first idea to move in the first place but luckily I didn't and heading back towards her room to sleep a few 2 hours more. I thought about going back to bed even though it was only 6 thirty in the morning but my brain gave me a great idea to do instead of heading back into bed.
I raced back into my room, grabbed my shimmering bag from the hooks of my door, took a hint of money with me, put on my pink Adidas shoes and headed off towards dreaminq's house. I slowly opened and closed the door behind me so my mom wouldn't hear me leave the house.
The stone path that leads to my house didn't exactly help me cross the path more quickly than I expected it too. To make matters worse, I would go asides of the path cause that's where the windows to my house are and if I do head over to the sides, there is a high chance that my mom will see me escaping the house and will probably come outside without shoes and pull me from the ears.
My heart raced through my stomach to my head as I tried my very best to not make a single sound while walking on the stone path. I took me about 4 minutes to get across the yard without my mother noticing but it was worth the wait.
When I thought my mother would see me in her sight, I ran as fast as I could before she comes out and does something outside like water the flower; later finding out that I was trying to escape her house. I reminded myself that I only had 2 hours before my mom wakes up again and makes breakfast. Cause if she doesn't see me in the bed before she wakes up, I was going to have it.
While walking to dreaminq's house, I spotted a Wawa not too far from here. My brain told me that I should go there and get a Latte for my friend and me while I still had the chance in doing so. And so that's what I did. I headed inside to see if they were selling any Latte in this early of a time. My steps got heavier when I started to race towards the Wawa that was in my sight.
When I entered the Wawa, I was hit by the most delightful smell that my nose could've ever sniffed. The smell of coffee everywhere in every single corner I went to. No matter where I went beside the bathrooms that is, there was the sweetest smell of every single kind of coffee in your nose.
It was like the coffees were mixing together to combined an even better taste of coffee. I was so happy to get myself a coffee but when I went to see the order line, I lost my appetite for drinking a coffee. The line was so big that it looked like a black Friday deal was going on even though it was the first day of December.
What a great way to ruin a girl's dream to get coffee early in the morning. Well, I had no other choice but to go back where I came from and head towards dreaminq's house that I supposed to be going in the first place.
The sweet smell left me as I took a step outside the Wawa store. it was like it was teasing me that I wasn't going to get my coffee today. It was a shame cause the other nearest Wawa was like 10 miles away from here and I ain't walking that long just for a coffee. Besides, by the time I got there, it would probably already been 2 hours past.
I started to make my way back to dreaminq's house when I spotted the police everywhere around her house. I immediately dropped everything and went straight towards her parents. Her parents knew me since I always go to her house every single Sunday's. "Mr. and Ms.Dream!" I could Harley speak while seeing their house burn down in flames.
"What's going on? And where's dream?" By the tell of their faces, I knew exactly what words were going to come out of their mouths. "No! Please don't tell me that actually happens!" Telling them that I had already guessed what was going on.
Mr stepped in, taking a deep breath before he spoke. "My wife and I were sleeping until I head the doorbell ring in front of our yard. I headed for the window that had the best view for the front door of our house. When I got there, nobody was there, that is what I thought. Minutes later I head my daughter yell in terror, waking up my mom pretty good. Later finding out she got murder and our house was burning down."
I froze in place. My heart couldn't take the words I just heard. "I'm sorry Kiwi but she's in a better place now." He told me while giving me the half colored note. I grabbed my half broken glasses from my shimmering bag and read, “Winter eh? Well, sweety, you’ve stepped into the worse trap ever! Just wait until 24 days from here oh boy! That will be a day nobody will ever forget.” And that's how I lost my closest friend on the first day of December.
