Why is it necessary to have a grace period before using Ender Pearls?

SHOULD WE REMOVE ENDER PEARL GRACE PERIODS??

It'll be a complete disaster, it'll be hard to tell who is a creative hacker (they ignore the cool down), people can just teleport to mid and also it'd be more annoying to chase someone down

The enderpearls have that cool down to make the game fairer. If ender pearls had no cooldown, do you think it would be fun to chase someone who keeps on pearling around when you don't have any pearls?

If you mean the cool down then it should stay as it is because rushers have so many advantages if it’s removed.
