Why is it necessary to have a grace period before using Ender Pearls?

I just wanted to ask about the ender pearl grace periods. Why is it necessary to have 3 minutes or whatsoever before using Ender Pearls? I am having trouble dealing with this issue and would love to get ender pearl grace periods removed. there is a pole underneath. Let's show staff if we want Ender Pearl grace periods removed or stay. btw grace period means when you have to wait for a bit before having something done. Please Tag Staff for them to see this report.
