Chapter 2

The night before the meeting, I asked my family about love when dining.Chapter 2
~
- Me: Mom, what does love feel like?
- Mom: Oh, uh... why are you asking this?
- Me: Well, I was just wondering.
- Dad: It’s romantic, son. Once you fell in love, you’re gonna be attached to the person you love. You can’t stop thinking about it.
- Me: Is that so?
- Older sister: Are you falling in loveeeee, Matthew?
- Me: No, I’m not.
- Older sister: The look on your face tells it all.
- Me: I don’t love anyone. I never knew what love is.
- Mom: Now you just did.
- Me: I’m serious.
- Older sister: Yeah right.
After dinner, I played games, took a shower and head to bed.
In bed, I kept thinking of what she would do to me the next morning.
Because of her, I can’t even sleep.
- Oldest sister: Hey, what’s wrong?
- Me: I can’t sleep.
- Oldest sister: I can help.
My sister and I talked for half an hour to distract myself from Ally. She didn’t know about the story, though.
The next morning, I came to school early.
As I walked in, I saw Ally with a box of Jenga.
- Ally: Hey Matthew. Do you wanna play this?
- Matthew: Sure, but just the two of us?
- Ally: Pearl and Tony’s here too. They’re waiting for us.
- Matthew: So this is why you told me to come early...
- Ally: Yep! So we could have some playtime before the meeting starts.
- Matthew: Well, let’s get inside the classroom.
We got inside and had fun.
Half an hour later, the teacher came.
- Teacher: Alright class, let’s start the meeting!
- Henry: But teacher, will there be playtime?
- Teacher: Yes, there will and playtime’s gonna expand.
- Kevin: AWESOME!!!
It was not weird until playtime came...
Ally invited me to come to the place where everyone calls “the small forest” but it’s just a garden with grass and big trees.
She told me to face my view towards the classroom. She went to me and gave me a small kiss on my cheek.
I was like, “uh, what just happened?”
Then, I went back to the classroom with her.
I went silent when I came close to her. It’s like I don’t wanna be with her but there’s a romantic feeling about it inside me. I didn’t ask her why she kissed me, it’s because we’re a couple.
- Me: Rose, can I talk to you for a moment, please?
- Rose: Uh, sure. What’s up?
- Me: Ally just kissed me on the cheek and I don’t even know what to respond!
- Rose: Oh boy, this is gonna be rough.
- Me: I know! And we just started dating 2 days ago!
- Rose: Wait, you got your first kiss from a person you just met?
- Me: Exactly! I know she’s been in this class for 2 years now and we haven’t talked in those 2 years. I don’t know why on this year she would show up and talk to me and started dating me?
- Rose: That’s a problem. Just act normal like other couples do.
- Me: Just normal? Are you insane?
- Rose: Yeah, I’m insane. I’m a love expert, don’t get me wrong.
- Me: If I had a choice then I’d follow your advice.
- Rose: Good. Now be gone.
I remembered everything Rose advised. Act normal and be kind to Ally. That’s how I’m gonna handle it.
2 days later, it was Monday.
Came to school like normal, telling myself everything is gonna be okay and that’s all.
I was studying, the teacher was teaching us some stuff and then another class came to our class.
The teacher was in shock and forgot to tell us that we have new classmates!
- Kevin: Oh my, new friends!
- Matthew: Who are they?
- Rose: They’re a class apart from us. We’re A7 and they’re A9.
- Teacher: Now listen up here, kids! Half of A9’s class is gonna be transferred over to our class due to their teacher having some health problems. They will be staying here for the rest of the year!
- Matthew: Oh yay, new friends. Where are they gonna sit at? There’s not enough space.
- Teacher: They’ll just encroach. We’ll have to share some space for them.
- Tony: This is gonna be bad.
The teacher then settled down everything. But once everything was in place, she switched everyone’s places on the next day.
I went to sit on the first row, where nerds sit at. I sat next to a girl in the A9 class, and I suddenly fell in love with her. She’s beautiful, she’s perfect, she’s sweet but I can’t confess.
- Lia: Hi, my name’s Lia. What’s yours?
- Me: Matthew.
- Lia: Nice name. Oh by the way, I’m Pearl’s best friend.
- Me: I’m her best friend too!
- Lia: Hahah! Since we’re table-mates now, we should share.
- Me: Great idea!
Ally was sitting next to the front door. She saw me and Lia talked to each other and even smiled, she was jealous after that.
On playtime, Ally called me out. She was full of anger and jealousy.
- Ally: You like her, don’t you?
- Me: No, I don’t! We just met!
- Ally: Well why are you two laughing and talked cheerful?
- Me: That’s what friends do!
- Ally: So you became her friend instantly?
- Me: She called me to introduce myself.
- Ally: Fine then.
- Me: Okay...
Ally turned her back and walked away.
I know that she was sad and angry of me. Although Lia is a nice girl, I won’t like her.
