This one is shorter, simply because I wanted to get it out today. With this said, there are hints! Both hidden and obvious... well, maybe obvious. It’ll be fun to see if people can pick up on the true hints.
Also, be sure to watch the players list, in case an important role dies and I don’t mention it in the story, or if I don’t mention the victim by name.

All was covered in a calming silence, until feet were heard, fast approaching. The figure that was enjoying the peace turned around, only to abruptly receive a punch to the face.
“What the hell?!”
“That’s for almost getting caught! Your target survived!”
“Well people fail sometimes okay?! I’m not perfect. At least my identity is still safe...”
“Not the point! What if it wasn’t?! What if he saw your face? You’d be killed right away!”
“Relax, just... Who’s our next targets? We’ll do it together so I don’t fail again.”
With a sigh, the shorter of the two rattled off their targets.

Crouching outside the door of their first target, they waited patiently for their chance to strike. With the sound of jingling keys, the pair readied their weapons. The door creaked open, and the two charged the person at the door. It was a fairly easy take down, they were too fast for the victim to even react. Looking up happily, the shorter said “Klassux down! Next is DaGamer...”
“Let’s go then. We don’t have all day.”
~
After the duo had taken down DaGamer in a relatively same manner as Klassux, they headed into the woods. The shorter spoke up first, “You know, I’m surprised you didn’t slip up again. Thomas, was it?”
“Yeah... and it wasn’t my fault! The guy was fast. It was like he expected it to happen.”
“Just be careful. We haven’t been suspected yet, and I’d like to keep it that way. We are almost done here.”
“Understood.”

The next morning, Hatake gathered before the people. The execution machine wasn’t in the square, making the townsfolk curious. “Due to a tie in votes, there will be no execution. I would have killed both... but my advisors disagreed.” With that, Hatake let the people go about their days.
