I can't make swords ;-; or other items

Every time I play sky wars,when I try to use the crafting the table it doesn't work, say I made sticks ,after a few seconds the sticks would turn back into wood planks ;-; is this supposed to happen or is it a bug or glitch?

You can't craft in any game in this server dunno why... but it's not a glitch or bug

That was long time ago and the glitch was fixed but players can't craft now except when they craft something into a block like: Oak wood=oak wooden plank, is still working.
