Booster doesn't work

When u get booster with the gems in the game I doesn't work like I get the same exp I get with out booster someone can tell me how to active o something that make the booster work

You activate boosters using gems but I don't think the experience booster works because it would cause a lot of people to level up TOO fast. However, coin booster does work.

I don't know. But it has been going on for a while and it is only a that it was prevented for people leveling up too fast.
