Rank Suggestion [Reporter]

Disclaimer: I have no idea if this rank was suggested in the past. I came up with this idea on my own.

Suggestion: A new rank. The rank would be named Reporter.

What is it: This is a rank that allows people to see that you report people breaking the rules on forums and servers.

How to earn it: Report over 200 people and they must get banned, muted, etc. If you report someone and no action has been taken, or if it is a false report, it doesn't count.

Color: Cyan or maybe a teal

Perks/Advantages: Nothing, just the rank next to your name. People have the choice to hide their rank or not.

Why it should be added: Normal people just playing the servers for fun may not be aware of people who report other people for breaking the rules on forums. Other people can now stop worrying of people breaking the rules since now they know the people who report frequently. Also, people can now behave more better online when they see the reporters. People may actually obey the rules and this makes the server a better place. Also, it encourages people to report people breaking the rules and that leads to the server becoming a little bit better.

Who can place it on your account: Higher Order staff can place this rank.

How to Apply for it: You must create a section in the Support Section on forums. There you must prove you own your account, and prove that you reported over 200 people. Also, you must be responsible and respectful in apply (Staff will decide if you are responsible and respectful). If you are banned at least twice, you are not eligible for the rank. (If the ban was a mistake, or was not your fault, or was not to be given to you, etc., that ban doesn't count). If you are muted for at least three times, you are not eligible for the rank. If a staff member notices someone deserves the rank, they may place it on the person without applying for it.

Consequences: If you are to abuse this rank and you are caught, the consequence will be you being stripped from the Reporter rank, and a 3 day ban + 6 day mute (almost the same punishment as staff impersonation).

This wouldn't be a good idea mainly because of then hackers would know who to avoid. They would be able to see the tag (if you have it on) and know who to avoid as they might write down your name to remember.

People who actually break the rules will be aware of the reporters, so they'll just play normally till that reporter is gone. This isn't a good idea, as the hackers will try to either hide from the reporters and/or not hack till the reporter's gone.

You could hide the tag, and even if the hacker doesnt hack when a reporter is around, there are other reporters that report that doesn't have the rank (if the idea was implemented).

Oh, I see what you mean. But most reporters that report on forums are not usually like that, but I will add consequences if anyone does abuse their rank. Also, I will add information about being respectful and responsible to the category "How to Apply for this rank". (The staff member decides whether you are respectful and responsible for having the rank).

Besides, it's like having a VIP rank. People can abuse them without other people knowing the full details of VIP perks and advantages (both staff and VIP ranks have colored chat, have access to the entire store, some commands they have access to are common, etc.). Some people can and do think VIPs are staff.

The only reason I put that is because some people have family members who hack and their network gets banned when they're innocent, the ban didn't go to them because they had similar names with the culprit, their username is not banned for an apparent reason, etc.)

It could be a good suggestion although there are some loopholes.

The rank has a high chance of being abused as people have stated above. For example, a reporter may have lost to someone and have thought lag or some other influence may have been a reach hack and bans that player out of rage.

Another thing is that if the rank was added, many people would have it and the job staff have of going through reports and banning those players would be gone and all they’d really have were the same perks of a normal ranked member like gold or emerald.

There are also things to think about such as hackers becoming more observant and realising that whenever a reporter is around, hackers get banned.

It’s just my opionin but if some of the loopholes could be fixed, it could be a good suggestion.

You could always hide your reporter rank, and also it is the same effect when staff comes on: the effect is them getting banned.

I made sure it was hard to get: you can't get banned at least twice, you can't get muted at least three times, staff must decide if you are responsible and respectful (People must have these traits and it could reduce any abusive behavior with the rank), and you have to report 200+ people.

When you join a game, the rank will stand for "R" and most likely, people will not know. If people do ask, we can always PVT the person telling them it is the Reporter rank.

Also, what about adding this on forums so people have a tag?
