Also you can just sleep as it scans you don't need to stay awake as it stays on. Then it'll most likely be done when you wake up. That's what I do with long downloads on my iPad, such as software updates. Now I can't get anymore updates because my hardware is outdated, but back when it was capable I would just update the software overnight and the next morning I would enter the PINs and voila, everything is set up.
