This thread will try to help me to help you to understand what is changing within the next update {1.2} also known as the "Better Together" update. The first thing that you may already know is that you will all have to create an Xbox account to access all servers on Minecraft Console, PE and Windows 10 edition. This will mean that you can no longer choose any username you want on our server and will have to stick to ONE username.
We have been speaking with
@vertx about this and the fact that this update might confuse and frustrate a lot of players but we are hoping to transfer into the new update as smoothly as possible. Players can use the new /switch command to access their BrokenLens account from their Xbox account.
This will be taking effect on All servers throughout MCPE & Windows 10 edition and many other servers might be reacting differently to this. The update is also going to be adding many new blocks as well as more features in the pause menu which we will have to try work a way around. This might mean that BrokenLens may or may not be ready for the 1.2 update but don't forget that vertx is only one guy and he codes almost the entire server.
From what we know the update is close to release and depending when it is released will depend if the server is ready to upgrade. If the update releases next week we are almost certain that BrokenLens will not be ready to update.
