How come you get to fly in the lobby/hub but not the waiting room?

It's really cool being able to fly in the hub/lobby. But why not the room where you wait? And why cant we have pets in the waiting room? It gets really boring in there.

Because the Waiting Room is part of the server's minigame itself. that is why it will not let you use commands in game or the waiting lobby unless you are a staff member but those commands are limited to /ban /mute /kick etc.
