Lix (Phoezalia / Lianix) Oneshot: "Teacher and Student"
Everyone loved her, she was their perfect role-model. She was great at English and writing, she had a kind and gentle heart, and she was the definition of beautiful.
But, they didn't like her like he did.
He would stalk her whenever he had the chance. Well, he didn't stalk her to the point that he's follow her everywhere, but he knew what her daily routine was, and which classes she taught.
In his second year at Uni, she had come as a new teacher, fresh out of school. She was a nice, tall woman, only around two years his senior. At the time, he was one of those kids who wouldn't listen to the teacher, and instead talk with his peers who surrounded him.
She started as a replacement teacher, teaching classes where the teacher was absent. One day, she was the substitute teacher at his Literature class. As soon as she entered, it was like the entire class loss their ability to speak. Nobody spoke a single word.
They were too focused on her beauty.
"I'm going to take attendence. Please say "present" or I'll say you're absent." Those words took a moment to register in his mind. By the time they did, she was already saying his name.
"Phoenix!" she said once more.
"H-Here!" he choked out. She scowled at him before ticking him as present. She went on taking attendence, which only took 5 more seconds since there was only one other person left.
You see, Phoenix's class only had 10 students. Nobody Phoenix knew liked classics. Sure, reading was fine, but classics were "outdated", as they had said.
"So, hi! I'm Miss Zal, and I'll be your substitute for the day while Mr Palmer is on leave. You can just call me Lia, though," she smiled. Her smile. It made Phoenix light up, made him feel like smiling. So he did just that.
"Before we start, I'd like to get to know you all better. It's simple, just stand up and say your name and something about yourself," she said as wind blew in from the open windows, causing her long hair, shiny as gold and yellow as chrysanthemums, to sway slightly. Her fringe brushing across her face to the left, revealing her forehead which beckoned Phoenix to caress it.
As it came to Phoenix's turn, his stomach did a backflip. He was about to introduce himself to probably the most beautiful girl he'd ever seen. He decided that, since it was inexorable ( inevitable ), he might as well think of something good to say about himself.
Pixie sat down, making it Phoenix's turn.
"Hi, I'm Phoenix. I'm a good artist," Phoenix said.
"What kinds of drawings do you like to draw?" Lia asked. She was the type of person who was a huge shipper.
Yep, Phoenix had a hardcore anime fangirl and shipper as his substitute Literature teacher. Lia thought of all the ships she was a big fan of, thinking about whether or not to ask Phoenix to draw one of them for her.
"Anything," Phoenix said. Lia thought about it for a moment.
"I'm sorry if this sounds like a stupid request, but could you draw me some fanart of some ships? You see, I'm a huge anime lover and fangirl..." Lia trailed off, a hue of pink appearing on her cheeks. She scratched her head, thinking about how stupid she probably looked right now.
"Actually, nevermind, you don't ha-" Phoenix interrupted Lia with the one word she had originally hoped for.
"Sure."
"Oh my gosh, really? Thanks sooooo much!!" Lia squealed. "And yes, I know I look stupid right now." The whole class burst into laughter.
"No you don't. Actually, you look kinda... cute," Phoenix's smile covered the tint of red that had materialized on his cheeks. Lia simply blushed in reply, and the class "Ooooh"ed. Someone shouted, "Huge Phoezalia moment right here" which got her some applause for the great ship name.
