After brokenlens shutdown Where'd you all go?

Locked into school, became a fish, stopped gaming and became a book nerd, now trying to turn upside down

Hi!

Wow, this is crazy. I definitely never expected to get another email from brokenlens but here I am! It’s awesome to see this place up and kicking again and I’m glad to see so many people on here currently reminiscing! Since brlns closed, I’ve graduated and unfortunately gotten an actual job and just work my life away now. The perks of being an adult now, unfortunately.

Real, the energy and time to actually game is gone and when I do game I see how all my skills I had during unemployment times are gone lmao and now I'm cheeks at everything.

As a comp sci student the road ends at a corporate slave unless you free lance or start up something

hellow!
Some may know me, some may not but when brlns shut down, I was honestly devastated. Unfortunately, I wasn't online on the very last day.

Anyway, since then I've focused a lot more on my life. I finally got married. I finished school and now I'm working.

As for gaming, not much has changed. I still play Minecraft every single day on the Hive. After brlns shut down, I moved over there because I still needed that mc community feeling.

Outside of Minecraft, I've started playing Genshin Impact, Where Winds Meet, and a few other games as well. :x3:

Depends on the field though. At the company I'm at also doing a learnership (less salary and everyone in the learnership no matter the department gets the same fixed salary till times up on the contract and we get a perm position and a salary boost) the IT (network, server and hardware) guys seems sad especially my homie in the department, balding and shii. The Devs tho which I'm a part of are having a great time. But maybe cause the company doesn't really specialized with IT/software. We just help make the lives easier yk, reducing paperwork. More digitalisation all that jazz. Pretty relaxed for us developers.
