pearl up towers glitch

I didn't realize that it was considered glitch exploiting. I sometimes used to do that if I didn't have any blocks and if I was particularly impatient as I find that sky-basing is something that is rather difficult to account for especially how you would need to use specific kits (Like the farmer or archer kit) to effectively counter that play-style.
I initially thought earlier that the way in which pearls can clip was intentional due to how pearls work similarly when you block clutch with them as you are about to fall into the void.
Personally I think it would be better if chests provided players with a little more variety in ranged weapons and with rare materials to craft arrows and other tools as this would help players more effectively account for defensive tactics.

Icy mentioned within the post that she linked that pearl glitching would initially have users warned and then banned if they repeated it and if they did so intentionally.
This is not something I agree with entirely due to how passive and defensive tactics like sky-basing can reward players more than those who try to climb up and battle them as a result of how the opposing player has to use blocks to head up and food to recover from the main player's defense.
In other words, Those who fight players who sky-base would often have to use more resources than those who sky-base simply due to how difficult it can be to account for players who are farther away.

your just like me xD, I don't play SW to win much, I play it to make traps. I had made so many traps before on the server.

It’s been like this for several months now, most ppl use it against skybasers as many others said since it is way more efficient than slowly stacking up to them while the skybaser repeatedly knocks you off your progress of getting to them. Mentioned earlier too, it has also been used for clutching, ik several ppl including myself that has gotten pretty used to this pearling strategy that correct timing of block placement when pearl clutching will teleport you up to the top instead of hitting the bottom of the island and falling to your death. Other ways of using this strange pearling feature is for certain traps and also escaping a battle if there is a block over your head.
I’m not sure if this is considered a bug in need of fixing since it has been here for so long already and many players have used this and not gotten any punishment tho and it’s still quite controversial on whether it’s something to be removed or not.
