Why do banned players still show up on the weekly and monthly leaderboards?

Six days ago, I reported a regular player of Survival Games for teaming with another player and for duplicating food. The user in question got banned shortly after my report as he also was bypassing an earlier report.
His username was Njer and he is still showing up on the monthly leader-boards for that game mode with the same score as before he got banned.

I'm not exactly sure how often the monthly leader-boards update although I think it can be problematic for a cheater to keep their spot on the leader-boards for days or weeks after they get banned especially for players who take these game modes more seriously.
Hopefully this thread helps with resolving this issue.

The user just stays on the ldb, they don’t get removed. The all time legend #3 xInsqne_ got perm banned for auto clicking a while ago, but is still on the ldb. I’m not sure if there’s a way to remove someone from the ldb, I think they just stay up there.

The LDB doesn’t remove banned people. They’re just stuck there and their score will always be the same. So you can easily just beat them unless they have like 287438383872 wins.

Their score never updates after they're banned, a few months ago M_W_3 #7 on the mw all time ldb got perm banned for duping and his scores have not updated since.
