Happened to me as well. I just see a patch of grass covered in snow and dark colors. I thought it was just me because of my texture pack and was a texture glitch, but wow I didn’t know it appeared to other players also.

Long time ago, even before microsoft added nether portal to pocket edition, It was possible to dye grass. Idk when precisely, but it was possible.
