Exactly tell me what is the swimming effect because of all my 913 wins in splatter, the only effect that I can think of when you come in contact with water is death xD

In actual Splatoon, players turn into squids I think. That's pretty much what the 'swimming' is in Splatter. It's supposed to mimic that. It happens when you sprint on wool coloured in your team's colour.

Like hermione said, the swimming effect is when players dive into squids and "swim" in their ink. They added this so that the game could be as similar to the one on the switch and on the wii u. One more thing (jk, two more), the swimming thing is not a bug and this can be activated by running (sprinting) fast.

The swimming in wool is called “SQUID MODE” . It is good for coloring everywhere but it makes your ink run out fast.
