I mean it only works for old minecraft version- since the new one has a bit issues- the mcinabox have to fix it-

I found a better tutorial from fredward while looking at this topic although it was marked as age-restricted even though it doesn't seem to contain any inappropriate content. (Maybe it got a dmca?)
I was able to get mcinabox working on my galaxy s8 although I get about two or three frames per second on 1.8.9 survival regardless of resolution or graphics settings. Surprisingly multiplayer works well including BrokenLens although I suppose it doesn't run very well due to the amount of processing required to emulate everything.
