Hi so uh i wrote some questions down staff should answer

TW: mention of bullying and death


1.Did you think you would make it as a staff member?
2. Are there any LGBTQ staff members?
3. How old are you guys
4. Is work as a staff hard, frustrating or pretty chill?
5. Did you ever unban someone because you were cool with them or you guys are/were good friends
6. (For staff members with higher ranks) How do you get your nick ideas?
7.Did you ever abuse your power, if so, how and when?
8. Did you ever receive death threats or hurtful messages, if so, how did you deal with it?
9.Did you ever ignore a players report on purpose (ingame)
10. Do ur parents/guardians know that u are a staff?

Thats all pls answer cause its gonna be embarrassing if u wont

Why

Because he is ridiculously strict- I shouldn't be interacting with random people on the internet or in a game- he helped me set up my forums account when I first got it so I could report hackers but I think if he had looked into it at all he would've made me delete forums

1). ngl I didn't expect to be it! I was getting denying a bit of times so I just expected to get denyed again then BAM i was a staff member xD

4). As a builder I would say that it's a bit frustrating since maps might not come out the way you want them too and such, but everyone on the team gets along so well and it's really fun and awesome

Apologies about the late response, I've been kind of busy with evaluations and stuff.
1: I wasn't too sure as even though I had a pretty good background when I applied, I had already tried to apply for staff a few months earlier. Beforehand, I would have a playlist that I would regularly update with gameplay clips showcasing cheaters and players who are generally not following the rules presented for the server. I ended up making around four hundred videos.
2: Yes
3: I also prefer not to say.
4: There are points where it can be extremely challenging especially as my time zone often leads to me being the only staff member online or available at the time. Sometimes being a staff member can be interesting as a result of how I have more of a direct involvement with the server's community and development although I generally get pretty overwhelmed by all of the users messaging me in-game. There are many users who are genuinely supportive and friendships I have made as a result of the time and energy I have invested on here.
5: Nope, I've banned more than a few suspicious users on my friend list.
6: Skipped this one as I can't really nick at this point. lol
7: I can't really recall a specific point where I abused my position as staff.
Maybe when I invited a hacker into a party to battle him in Skywars? (He claimed that I was cheating after I won.)
8: Yep, I get harassed and threatened quite frequently behind the scenes. I find that the extent in which I get harassed combined with how I get spammed and targeted across a multitude of platforms makes it really difficult for me to spend time outside of the server.
It is honestly very concerning in my opinion especially given how my peers have had it worse than I have and how there isn't a whole lot I could do to account for that type of behavior other than simply reporting the posts to the respective platform, blocking the user in question, and treating it as if nothing happened.
9: Not purposefully but sometimes I am not able to catch up through everyone's reports if there is like a server raid going on or if more people are sus than usual. I've checked the statistics and we have consistently found more than a thousand cheaters enter our server every week. There's already probably been at least one user banned by the time you read through my answers to these questions.
10: They do although they don't really vibe with it.

With all of that said though, Being a staff member on BrokenLens is not for everyone although I have remained optimistic about how the server is continuing to improve and how concerns I have developed are being accounted for.
BrokenLens is unlike any other server with gameplay implementation, and community and those are some of the things that I really like about the server.
