I gotta agree the island looks like just a piece of cake (SQUARE CAKE) the house looks fine i think your taste is like Eyow's but i would try to revamp it. UwU

I'm going to agree with everyone, the islands are so squared and flat! normally you do see some others make squared islands that is similar, but has carved details to it!

For example look at Trenz MW island, it looks way better because the walls are not so flat. It's ok to have that kind of island, but it needs far more details!

If I were you, I would look at Trenz map(Image below) for some pointers! and add more colors than just 2, like maybe 4 or more, and the island floor/land should have some grass, paths, or roads, not just all white concrete!

But in other words, the houses could use some texturing instead of just one color, maybe add wool, concrete(hard and powder), terracotta, and other blocks of the same color of those houses. but everything else besides the houses and islands should be fine(In my opinion).
