Maybe start with the floor. Add some shading with other similar colored blocks like concrete powder or wool.
I’m sorry but I do not like your tree. I recommend watching a tutorial on trees to improve it! The stairs could curve up to add style I guess. The flag can be more realistic than a square block. You did good for your first map! It reminds of the KGM brothers maps that they create so I recommend looking at their maps to see how do they make maps more appealing. I think the problem is you choose a very basic theme which doesn’t give many ideas to make but a good builder always finds a way!
