On certain maps, it is possible to eliminate teams from play for a long period of time (right off the bat) and not have to worry about them causing you any trouble! You don’t have to make the effort of killing their mob for this strat to work!
This “trap” will work on maps with enclosed spawn spaces, such as Farmlife and Rustic Town.
To execute the strategy, first take enough iron to build to middle and to another team, as well as 4 diamonds. Use the diamonds to buy obsidian, and then as quickly as possible bridge to an enemy team.
From there, take your obsidian and block off their doorway. Then, kill any of that team’s players that were not already within their spawn area.
Now, you have eliminated a threat for a long duration of the game, while you profit on their downfall!
All jokes aside, I’m sure that this strategy could be used to a great extent. By the time the targeted team has FINALLY broken the obsidian, you will come along with plenty of gear to do a team wipe, because said team will practically have no suitable resources to fight back.

I personally never really consider this strat Bc I like to earn swift and controlled wins, but it would be a fun thing to do once in a while
