Not really in java, you could make maps anywhere. Even if it is PE or Java Edition, doesn't even matter at all. They aren't looking on what device or edition you have used, they are basing your builds on how is it detailed enough, and how's the quality of it.

Again, it's not based on what edition you're playing on as long as the build is detailed enough and it has quality there is a chance of your map getting accepted.

It dosnt matter but u cant make it anywhere cuz u need java edition for seting map on server and servers system or on VPS ,if u didnt know ,know it now but u can change cods and then set on the server

You can make other kinda of map :for lobby,minigame,games,shop and ... (for getting builder staff u have try hard)
