So if your a new or non car enthusiast you may have heard the word “street legal” before and you might be thinking “what do they mean about street legal cars?” To answer your question I will explain are the differences between a street legal and a non-street legal car.
street legal: the general definition of a street legal car is that if a car meets its governmental approval for it to be driven on the streets and meet the safety requirements. (Examples: Toyota Tundra(truck), Mclaren 570s(exotic/super car), Honda Accord(simple daily driven car) and other cars you’ll find either in the interstate, neighborhood, and much more
street illegal: The general definition of a street illegal car is when the car doesn’t meet the requirements for it to be driven on the streets and will be driven in race tracks like the Daytona speedway. (Examples: LMP1cars, any nascar car, formula 1, formula E, GTLM or GTE PRO cars, and much more)
