the models of the chess pieces are impeccable but it looks very repetitive (yes ik the original nature of chess is rather superficial) I just think you can add further depth to the map. thats my opinion ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That's the only thing i could think out now since the only colors that players could splatter were just brown/black/gray/white... Maybe i'll just add some few more details on the map later... Ps. These detail i would add later will allow the players to splat some wall (kinda) blocks

There are others you can use:
Purple (not magenta)
Light Blue
Green (not lime)
Pink

Also the theme you choose was kinda basic and too specific to have some room for creativity. Take the map SPLT S - Arrowona Mall. The theme is mall but because there is no specific way to build a mall, you can make your mall however you like! With a chessboard however, they are all usually the same and making it different might cause confusion. You could still make it different but it won’t really fit the theme. It’s important to make sure that your theme is versatile when making a map for a game.
