How to get Green Gems? :thinking-face:

Okay just a question, is it best to use gems... one at a time per what ever says. For example take yellow. It gives me 1.4 Exp booster and say I do another one and it does 1.2 exp booster this time, does it add up together to create 1.6 Exp booser or cancel the previous one.

I can't open the green gems... why do I need a rank?
