    And 3.5 ghz is pretty good! How I know my cpu is 4th gen is because i7-(4)790! The 1st number in the 4 numbers tells you what gen! But if you have 5 numbers after the i7, it could be that you have 10th gen or 11th! Ex: i7-(10)700k

    Any 3rd gen i7 and higher is good because they have 4 cores or more! My cpu is a i7-4790 oc @4ghz all core. My 4ghz is per core so adding 4ghz to each 4 cores, I get like around 16ghz! But also having a high ghz count per core is needed sometimes for some games because some games only uses 1-2...
