It is just lag. All of it is caused by lag.

The others are lagging too. It isn't just Survival Games, but it could just be that there are more people on with particles in Survival games than there is in the other games

It is because of Mojang's crappy updates. It isn't a bug, it is because Monjang rushes their updates not thinking about the lag it causes on servers
