Because, if someone accuses the person who is the murderer, they could just type in chat "No, it's not me, I'm innocent." That would make the sheriff uncertain of who the murderer is and would cause the game to end slowly, or the games would all be 7 minutes long. Well, this would be my point...- meLxo

Within one minute left of the game, on top of the murderer's screen it says "nearest player: <distance>" It says how far the nearest player is from the murderer.- meLxo
