In which version are you playing on PC? And which version are you playing on mobile? In 1.17 + newer you don't take fall damage, I have tried on my phone and on my laptop, both are the same, I just take damage in versions before 1.17

As Money said, it's intentional, I feel like it would be OP fast eat in MWS, if your enemy rush mid faster than you, you lose, you can't handle alone a stacked player with fast eating
