One tip is to have everything planned out. What will the map look like? What’s its theme? How large will it be? What’s a good block palette for the whole map?
Another one would be world edit. Kinda obvious as it speeds up the whole map-making process by a lot.
It is too big, but you can reduce the size by detailing the walls. Meaning, instead of 100% flat walls, you could add hills against the wall and stuff.
