It takes some time for all of your friends to "acknowledge" the new name and start accepting grms from it. you can ask your friend to rejoin the server or try again later to see if it actually worked. :)

I did add two tts to your account a week ago so you could go back to your old username, see if everything works there then go back to the new one. did you not get them? My theory is that you tried to change your username right before we went into a maintenance window, so that could have caused...
