I honestly don't know how this problem would be fixed. and many people are only allowed to play at a specific time (which is usually in the evening, and more people are on then)

But I don't think lowering the cap is gonna change anything because the same amount of people can still play, there will still be 3000+ people playing wether you lower it or not. And you'll always experience lag so...

Same I rarely get and problems on my server. Depending on where you live and how your wifi is that will effect your game. I mean every now and then I experience lag, but literally 98% my game is lag free and I have no issues whatsoever. I think that it's because more people are in their homes...
