umm... watermelons have seeds whih make them a friut... and technically a strawberry is just an overgrown flower... and technically that was your opinion about strawberries... which makes the logic in this horrible xD
"Botanically speaking, a fruit is a seed-bearing structure that develops from the ovary of a flowering plant, whereas vegetables are all other plant parts, such as roots, leaves and stems." Watermelons have seeds though.
However, other definitions say a vegatable is any plant part cultivated for being eaten, which would mean a watermelon is both.
