Hmm... Well obviously there's the danger that everyone you're talking to is a stranger to you, and you don't know who is the person behind the username or profile picture. People can manipulate and use you while you're under the impression that they are simply a friend, because that's how they're acting.

You could also become too attached and "reliant" on the online world, not spending enough time or socializing enough in real life. Sort of wasting your life, although I guess that's a matter of opinion.

I think that's an extremely difficult thing to do because well, there's no way to really "know" the person you're talking to. Even if they show you a photo of what they claim to be them, it could just be a random stock photo from the Internet.
