I love world history it's definitely an interesting subject but I'm surprised that these teachers r giving you work work on the first day of school. For us the first week of school is us doing nothing lol

1a. I’m a Sophmore. In Texas (or this area at least) it’s a year older than most other states so if I was taking school in another state (ex: NY) I would be a junior. Our district has a junior high school (9-10) & a senior high (11-12) most people in 9-10th grade have their main classes in at the junior & vice versa. Some people have classes at opposite campuses & take a bus to get there between passing periods.

1b. Like I have band at the senior high for 2nd/6th block & take the bus going there & coming back. (Using letters bc the 420 character limit)

2. You walk a mile to get to school??? What if your running late & have to run alllll that way to get to school? Bet that won’t be fun. But I thought you were able to drive? Or maybe have a parent drop you off? Walking a mile to school every day sounds like a nightmare lol

3. Shive.... if you forgot everything you learned then like what was the point of taking the class in the first place lol. But yeah having chill nice teachers are the best & you aren’t as nervous to ask them questions too

5. Oh so thats what diagnostic tests are lol. But like on the fiRsT dAy oF scHoOl tHouGh>?? And I do not like Spanish at alllllllllll, even tho I was like the smartest in the class last year in Spanish I, I did not like Spanish in general at allllllll, but like our teacher last year was the bestttttttttttt she was so chill and nice which was amazinger

Ok listen, if its anything band related, then I'm like very social, but if its anything like school related where I don't know anyone in the class then I'm like super quiet and don't talk to people much even tho at times I try to EXCEPT IF THEY ARE THE SCARY MUSCULAR TYPE. Even though I am like one of the oldest in all my classes bc my bday is September 9th so I'm one of the first to turn 16 lol.

7. I thought it was bad last year when 70% of the people were virtual & 30% were in person towards the end of the year (was the opposite in the beginning of the year lol), but this year was just like crazy traffic, like students coming from all 4 ways of the hallway intersection & right by the stairs too so there are people going up and down those as well.

8. I'd estimate around 700 students per grade, so 1,400 at each high school campus & 2,800 total which is a lottt

9. I managed to survive with her sitting there and I did not see her aiming her phone camera towards me so I was fine today!! One day down 4082348 to go!!!

10. The teacher is pretty chill too & he said homework would be a rare thing for his class so YAY.

11a. Omg last year on freshman year, like almost all my teachers gave work & started teaching their content the first days & I was thinking "wait why are we learning this early?? I thought this was a grace period!!".

11b. This year wasn't as bad as last year since we didn't have as much work (most last year was from Bio omg I hated bio I'm so glad I'm in chem this year lol), there are still my 5th, (6th is band so I don't have work there) 7th, & 8th classes tomorrow too so I might get more work then as well.

12. ok like they weren't strangers, they were volunteer parent chaperones that were helping to transport the students from the junior high to the senior high bc of the bus incident & there are like 30-40 students so they needed a lot of parents to help out lol. I did make new friends in the car with them tho lol. I'm smart enough not to get into a strangers house!!

13. YA WE HAVE BEEN HAVING MARCHING BAND REHEARALS FOR THE PAST 4 WEEKS FOR SUMMER BAND AND TODAY WAS OUR FIRST CLOUDY DAY WHICH IS SMMMMMMMM BETTER THAN BEING IN THE DRY HOT SUN WITH NO CLOUDS AND NO WIND IN 100°+ WEATHER SO WOOOOOOOOOOO

14a. Ok so like I didn't even know I left it there til I got out of the car when I got home. As soon as I walked into my house I was like "wait..... oh no I left my backpack in the band hall!! It just feels like summer band still when the only thing I had to bring back home was my water bottle

14b. So I just left and completely forgot but luckily they didn't lock the doors yet since the janitors were cleaning the place up so woo, that would've been V E R Y bad if the doors were locked and I wouldn't be able to get my backpack back for the "1st day of school 2.0" lol.

15. Woahhhh you call it bookbag! My dad is like the only person I know that calls it bookbag instead of backpack but I finally met someone else that calls it that yay!!
