okay that sounds like a very interesting take! although I'm not sure it quite makes sense? can you explain further? xD

Okay so the opposite of nostalgia is when you look back at something dumb you did at 3am and slowly die inside and then fall back asleep, I guess that's pessimistic PTSD and it's also fun. Usually looking back at things feels nice but comparing it to now I honestly wish I could go back to it and live in that moment for a lifetime.

ooh I get what you mean now, that makes more sense ^^ hold on, it's not "fun" to look back and cringe at something you did, that's like the opposite of fun xD but yeah I see where you're coming from, that both of those things are about looking back but they both elicit different emotions and reactions, one's negative and one's positive

in general I love the feeling of nostalgia but I guess it's more of a bittersweet feeling tbh, because although it's nice to relive those memories, you also know that you'll never get to experience those things again and that's a little sad. wow I think I'm talking too much again xD
