we all have the power to choose what we see, whether you are comfortable admitting to it or not.

we can choose who we want to follow on our various social media apps, we can choose what articles we read - not to mention, we can choose how much of our time is devoted to these things.

there are people in the world, ones who i believe deserve to be seen and heard more, who deserve more appreciation for they have achieved such significant and influential accomplishments.

i could create an endless list of many of those people who lie amongst artists, writers; photographers, musicians; survivors, politicians. but for the time being, i will just settle for one person in particular.

today i want to talk about kevin carter.

i first heard his story a few years ago and it's never quite left me, it's always been here. i am aware that i will never quite be able to understand everything about him or who he was, but he made an ineffaceable imprint on my life. i strongly believe he should do the same for you, and for everyone.
