I'm glad that there will always be good people in the world <3 I've seen lots of inspiring photos from the Black Lives Matter protests all around the world, people of all colours standing together in solidarity. It's horrible that it's taken the death of yet another black man to get to this, but it's honestly so beautiful to see people standing up for each other

Yesss, I guess it's sort of easier because you've got time to think about your words more, although you don't get as much of an emotional connection as when you're talking face to face xD

Omg you did!? I haven't met anyone who's homeschooled like me xD I actually prefer homeschooling, although i don't mind school but my school was rather toxic in the end and I decided it's best to leave and luckily my parents agreed what about you? Which did you prefer?

I thought the same thing, there are still a lot of good people out there and I'm very sorry to the man who's life was lost because of foolish actions of those police officers. I think it's amazing to see how many people of different races and religions gather to stop racism. It's truly amazing to see the world finally come together and to realize that some government officials over use their high ranking status.

Due to certain issues, I was never a fan of the police for what they've done but i haven't forgotten that, good police officers still exist.

I have to agree! Talking face to face with someone is nicer then texting them but I'm still grateful to even be able to text them.

#HomeschoolBuddies xD well I'm glad you managed to get out of that school well, I love the flexibility of homeschooling but I also really miss the social aspect of school and the whole experience of going through it with friends... I guess they both have their advantages

I definitely believe there are good police officers too. I've seen people say that even though there are good ones, the problem is that as soon as they put on their uniform and start doing their job, they inevitably become bad because the system and the laws they're upholding are racist, no matter whether the officers themselves are.

I don't know much about police brutality or about racism in general but I've been reading and listening to podcasts lately to hopefully learn more.

Thank you! I am too. Me too, i love that I can multitask with homeschooling but my social life is destroyed basically that's why I often find myself talking to people online instead :3

I don't agree with that saying. I've seen a lot of good officers who put on their uniform and remain good. Being a good human doesn't mean when you go to work or when people aren't looking, you become violent and rude.

If their good at heart then they'll remain good through it all. I've seen a police officer who reassured a little black girl that she'll be alright, he even hugged her and he had his uniform on and he was on duty. People make officials all seem like monsters when not all of them are the same.

Some police are racist to certain cultures, religions and races. It's quite sad to see honestly, it's not like their monsters.

Omg no, I've never actually seen it like I was at school and it turned dark because of it but i never saw it in the sky, I would love to see one though! It's an amazing thing to see.

I completely understand! I gradually lost touch with all of my old school friends after I started homeschooling, sadly, that's sort of just the way it went. I've made a couple of "real life" friends, but the vast majority of my friends are online, mostly through BrokenLens tbh!

I don't like when people say that online friends aren't real friends; I've made so many beautiful friendships with some truly wonderful people on this site, and I never would've met them if not for the internet. Friends can be found anywhere ^-^
